Baker Creek Spring Planting Festival 2010
Bruce, John, Judy, and I traveled from north central TX to southwestern MO to attend the Baker Creek Spring Planting Festival. Toe-tapping music, historical demonstrations, local handcrafts, plants, seeds, farm animals, and interesting people watching -- all in a beautiful rural setting. We had a great time!

Horseshoe Horses from MO
Last year, on our Gulf Shores, Alabama beach house vacation, Judy and I were smitten with a seahorse made from a horseshoe. We looked and looked in the local gift shops but could not find any to make our own. This last weekend, at the Baker Creek Spring Planting Festival in Mansfield, MO, we came upon a blacksmith demonstration and found these! Mine is the one on the left; Judy will take the one on the right back to her California ranch house.
